Worship Offering at End of Day

Father God, You are Lord of all. Our trust is in You and so we can rest in Your peace without worry. Thank You that You are!

Father God, we thank You for another day.  Whether it held what we considered good, bad or some of both, we thank You that in Your graciousness You ordained us to live and now be able to lay our heads down to sleep.  And most especially we thank You that in all of it and in all things You were there caring for us.

We trust that in Your perfect though often inscrutable way, You will use all things for good in light of eternity.  We bow in awe and lay all the burdens we have mistakenly picked up at Your feet in order to revel in these last moments before sleep comes, that You are Supreme.  We are saved by Your love as manifested through Your Son Jesus who died that horrific death on the cross for all that we would ever do to offend You.  And so You give us the gift of being able to look at our lives from Your perspective (which is the only Truth) – a view from here to eternity.

Death is no longer something to be feared and yet, we do not rush towards it, for You have good, purposeful work every day for us here wherever we are.  You ordain to use us exactly as we are as Your hands and feet through which to reveal Yourself to the world – that they might experience Your love one individual at a time; and that they might find their way to a relationship with You through Jesus which will last through eternity.

Death is no longer the end, thus that which threatens the body is no real threat at all.  Lord, You have created us, however, to desire to be here living this mortal life for as long as You will allow.  Therefore again we pause to thank You for this life, to thank You for Your promise to protect and provide perfectly for those who seek You and Your kingdom, to thank You for giving us purpose through the assignment of the Great Commission where we are privileged to serve as Your ambassadors until the day You call us home to You for heaven.

You gave us Your Son, Jesus, as the example and so we follow Him.  Lord, how amazing!  You used Jesus in His everyday life; You used Him in service to others; You used Him on easy days and on hard; in pleasant times in fellowship with those close to Him and in suffering all for the cause of eternity with You.  Jesus, You are Light of the world!  You give us hope for a forever future and purpose now.  Holy Spirit – blessed gift from the Father, You guide us when we will listen every moment every day.

And so tonight we lay our heads down to sleep in great, great peace.  Oh, Lord, those who do not yet know You cannot understand this peace from You which surpasses all understanding.  And yet, by faith we know that no one can stand against us when You are for us. They may be able to hurt the body but they cannot destroy that part of us which is invited to abide in You forever (even as You, Jesus dwell in the Father and the Father in You).  We are safe.  You are our Refuge, Fortress and Shield.  You hide us under the shelter of Your wings and carry us with the promise never to let us go.  You heal us from our inner  hurts when we let You. You bear our burdens so we don’t have to, invite us to be as children in our faith and tell us there is no need to worry for You are there are You are greater than anything which would ever come against us.

Thank You, that You are.  We choose to rest in You for we trust You.  You are the One True Living God who saves us from ourselves.  You are our hope and our great love.  You will never leave us or forsake us and Your love never fails.  Tomorrow, we begin again and already ask that You would use us however You desire to accomplish Your purposes in the world.  It is such an unspeakable honor and privilege to be Yours forever!  May You alone be glorified!  In Jesus’ name, Amen

NOTE: this is titled a “worshipful” prayer because it asks for nothing, but adores our Lord for who He is.  In the process of truly  praying in awe of Him, those of us who pray are blessed because by choosing to revel in our God, we are reminded of who He really is, the wonderful blessedness of His Way and the promises He makes to us, which He cannot break, for He is Truth.  May our worshipful prayer rise up to Him as sweet incense, as a gift from our hearts which is pleasing to Him.  May He bless us by daily writing more the Truth of who He is on our hearts so we can live in the joy, peace and strength which He always has desired for us.  God bless you! ~ Elizabeth

I am a God-seeker--a Jesus-worshipper--a Holy Spirit follower. I create songs, devotions, prayers, books and Bible studies to give words with which to get to know God more. For you. Its for one-on-One encounter unto transformed, transcendent living. This is not my vocation. I am not professional. I am a real, ordinary person just looking to do what God put me here to do. (You have a unique purpose too.) So I am called to the work. It is not my income source, but my gift to those who find it blessing. Eagles Nest Foundation sponsors all projects for you. The result: pure, clean spiritual nutrition to feed that deep insatiable spiritual hunger which eventually overtakes each of us and galvanizes you to the life God has for you. This life is purposeful. Exceptional. You--yes, you--are called to something greater and more satisfying in His service. So it is hoped you'll try this spiritually dense nutrition and find it to be a personal blessing. However, the goodness of God-following doesn't stop there. He uses those who seek Him to be His love and care (justice, mercy, advocate, kindness) very tangibly in the lives of those around you. Not by your power but by His. His ideas. God ideas. Not just good ideas. To be part of changing the world, if you will let Him. You learn to just follow where He leads. That if you listen, He will teach you to hear His voice and then when you obey His inner promptings you will become His incredible hands and feet in this hard world. These materials will help! They will help you aim your life towards God in a way you never look back. You will not be the same. He will become the River in your desert spaces and you will become a conduit of this same River of refreshing, replenishing Water of Life to others. Find a prayer. Pick a blog post. Read a book. Be led deeper into the Bible. Select a song which resonates and use it and use it again to go close and ever closer to the God who longs to draw you near. Oh, and don't be tempted to think I'm a crazy over-spiritualized loony...My background is financial planning and counseling. Almost 40 years of it. To choose to believe in God is not to leave practicality and reason behind, but to learn that there is that which goes beyond it and includes it, unto true life fulfillment beyond all your dreams for the one who keeps seeking Him. I am a third generation Californian. I am a person to whom family means everything. The only priority higher is God. The foothills of the Sierra Nevada are my home. It is here the 1849-1856 Gold Rush is still glorified. Easy money? Actually only for the few. Even though I was raised in the Church, it took me ten years of doubting God even existed to realize that without Him, no matter how much of this life's "stuff" is accumulated, I actually have nothing. To come to know that all those who chased after gold are dead and all those who still chase stuff will be dead. That's when I became a God-seeker. Looking for that more. And Eureka! (This is California's state slogan and means I found it.) I found God...or rather, I discovered He was there and had been there waiting for me to look for Him the whole time. May you discover more of Him for you, greater flourishing life and greater flourishing for all in the world as well. God bless you! ~Elizabeth
